A modular CCTV platform
Horizon organises its software functions into four connected areas: status and maintenance, security, evaluation and automatic passenger counting management.
Status & maintenance
Monitor maintenance-relevant vehicle and device status remotely, with automated reporting, remote updates and GPS mapping.
Security
Use live video, alarm management and video sharing to assess incidents and share relevant streams with authorised external teams.
Evaluation
Request recordings manually or automatically. Transfers can start over LTE when bandwidth is available or when the vehicle reaches depot Wi-Fi.
APC management
Review and analyse historical passenger counting data in the platform used to manage the cameras that collect it.
Explore Horizon
Ten modules organise vehicles and devices, monitor system health, manage updates and support live video, recording retrieval, alarms, reporting and passenger counting data.
Fleet management
Horizon Fleet Management organises vehicles by line, route, group or individual unit, including modular and flexible formations. It provides the vehicle structure used by the other Horizon modules.

Status management
View maintenance-relevant status and details for r2p devices remotely, so the depot can identify what needs attention before a vehicle arrives.

Update management
Install or schedule configuration and firmware updates remotely for a device, a vehicle or a group configured in Horizon Fleet Management.

Live view
Stream vehicle cameras live and arrange the feeds in the dashboard. A stream can start automatically when an alarm is raised.

Video sharing
Share a live stream by link with authorised external recipients such as law enforcement, security services, medical staff, control centres or technicians.

Video download
Request recordings from a whole vehicle or an individual camera and protect selected footage from being overwritten. Transfers start over LTE when bandwidth is available or when the vehicle reaches depot Wi-Fi.

APC management
Review and analyse historical passenger counting data from vehicles in the same platform used to manage the cameras.

Emergency function
Start downloads automatically from recorder events, alerts or on-board signals, while protecting the relevant recording from being overwritten.

Alarm management
Configure and evaluate active and archived events against rules defined in the r2p recorder, including TCMS, IBIS and recorder digital inputs and outputs.

Reporting
Automated status reports by email or in the platform, covering critical states, thresholds reached or exceeded, and events. Reports are system defined or built to the operator's own rules.

On-board CCTV and monitoring hardware
Cameras, monitors and recorders designed for the operating conditions of public transport vehicles.
Rear-view monitoring, certified to SIL 2
The Rear-View Monitor system replaces traditional mirrors with digital cameras and in-cab monitors. The SIL 2-certified system covers critical areas around the vehicle and provides the driver with a real-time view.
- Digital replacement for traditional mirrors
- Covers critical areas and vehicle blind spots
- Real-time images displayed in the cab
Saloon CCTV
High-resolution IP cameras cover passenger compartments for live surveillance and recording. The cameras integrate with the vehicle’s on-board network.
- High-resolution IP cameras across the saloon
- Integration with the on-board network
- Live surveillance and recording for later review
Forward-facing CCTV
Forward-facing cameras record track conditions and potential obstructions. High-resolution footage supports incident review, while optional thermal cameras improve visibility at night and in poor conditions.
- High-resolution recording of the track ahead
- Optional thermal cameras for low-light conditions
- Recorded footage for incident investigation
On-board passenger counting
r2p’s Automatic Passenger Counting system reports better than 95% data accuracy. Operators can use the data for capacity planning, service analysis and concessionary revenue claims.
- Better than 95% data accuracy
- Route profitability and capacity planning
- Evidence for concessionary revenue claims
